People often ask me how I came up with the Victoria Laurin & Baby and the Under Wraps Nursing Poncho. I was a nervous real first time public breastfeeding mother (even thou this was my third child) and I would catch people just staring at me while nursing baby Jacob. I always felt that we had to hide in a bathroom to nurse. Boy I was wrong!
I took the experience and knowledge that I have gained while working with pregnant and new moms in my maternity boutique (Her Special Time Maternity) and the stress that I was having breastfeeding and the Under Wraps Nursing Poncho TM was born in 2004. Jacob was successfully breastfeed until 16 months without a drop of formula. I strongly feel that the sense of modesty that I still had while using the Under Wraps Poncho TM gave me the courage to nurse in public. Jacob never liked having a blanket over his head, he always wanted to see mommy. I can remember sitting in church and people had no idea that I had a baby breastfeeding right next to them.
Over the first 19 months of his life, Victoria Laurin and Baby had been a work in progress. Victoria Laurin and Baby is named after my oldest, Victoria Laurin and her two younger baby brothers, Joshua and Jacob.

I have now been blessed with another baby due in May. This is a time in your life that you will never forget, so enjoy every glaze that you share with baby. As our family grows, are colors are expanding too.
